Swansea City won the first major trophy in the club's 100-year history, and became the first Welsh club to win the League Cup.

The biggest win of the competition: Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0 in the 3rd Round.

Reading 5-7 Arsenal was the highest-scoring tie of the season with 12 goals.

9. Spot-kick marathon

Hull City and Rotherham United needed 13 penalties to settle their 1st Round tie (7-6 on spot-kicks after 1-1).

10. Swansea City's road to glory

Swansea City beat Barnsley, Crawley Town, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Chelsea and Bradford City on the way to the trophy — 6 ties won.

11. Sharpest shooters

Aston Villa scored the most goals of any club in the competition this season, with 17.

12. Bradford City fall short

Bradford City reached the final but finished runners-up.
