Boreham Wood, in from the 1st Round, went all the way to the 5th Round — a memorable run from the early rounds.

7. The heaviest win

The biggest win of the competition: Yeovil Town beat Yate Town 5-0 in the 1st Round.

8. 11-goal thriller

FC Halifax Town 7-4 Maidenhead United was the highest-scoring tie of the season with 11 goals.

9. Spot-kick marathon

Queens Park Rangers and Rotherham United needed 15 penalties to settle their 3rd Round tie (8-7 on spot-kicks after 1-1).

10. Liverpool's road to glory

Liverpool beat Shrewsbury Town, Cardiff City, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Chelsea on the way to the trophy — 6 ties won.

11. Sharpest shooters

Manchester City scored the most goals of any club in the competition this season, with 16.

12. Chelsea fall short

Chelsea reached the final but finished runners-up.
